Had an absolutely amazing time over the weekend with my wife and 15 mth old son. We stayed there for 2 night and roamed around a lot of the day playing and feeding many of the animals. It was great to be able to go into the alpaca …
What a great location and perfect for families. I stayed for the weekend with my wife and son and we absolutely loved walking around the farm and playing with the animals. It was a ball seeding the Alpacas but it was great to be able to walk around and see so many different animals, this was a great experience for my son at a great price, we will definitely be back again, next time with more families and friends.
Kids loved getting up close with the animals. Being able to go in to one paddock felt like a real privilege. We also saw wild kangaroos at the bottom end of the walk which only added to the experience for the kids. The staff were friendly and welcoming, even offering us towels to dry off from the rain.
FUN. All animals were gentle! It was important to keep a flat hand. So laid back! Love the independent nature. It’s not just alpacas.. there are ponies, donkeys, cows, goats, pigs, chickens all available to feed. A fun experience! Everything is fenced for your protection, however if confident, you’re allowed in with the Alpacas! They were extremely generous with feed and it was a fun activity to start the day!
Stayed here for 2 nights and there were far too many bugs and insects. I understand that we are in rural outback areas but there was an abnormal amount of insects. I saw two cockroaches and huntsman spider in the span of 30 seconds. Some beds had cockroaches along with bed bugs which is absolutely foul. Don’t even get me started with the cockroach on the cutlery drawer. The manager was also quite rude and aggressive when he asked to park our car somewhere else. Did they forget please and thank you’s? They then became ludicrous when I went a LITTLE fast on the facilities road. Although I was in the wrong the way management handled the situation was extremely unprofessional. Rude tones and threatening to kick us out immediately was quite shocking. They should still uphold a certain standard of customer service in these scenarios. The water from the tap tasted metallic, we needed to live off soft drinks for our stay. Also the pool is smaller than it looks, don’t be fooled by the photo. The free wifi is a sneaky marketing scheme by them, we only got 150MB.
The Alpaca farms were nice. We also had a rabbit enclosure in front of our cottage and they were adorable. The tennis court was quite fun to play on. They had a nice billiard pool where a nice game was played despite two balls missing. The air conditioning was nice. To be fair they did provide bug spray. The location yields a nice sunset surrounded by the mountains.
I went with my adult daughter for a day trip and we had a beautiful day. The animals were friendly and adorable and the gift shop was full of goodies and the lady at the gift shop was friendly and helpful . Beautiful spot really uplifting accessible and affordable.
It was a very fun trip for us. We stayed here for 2 nights early this year, it was best experience ever. We were allowed to feed all the animals- little goat, alpaca, chicken etc. We were given 2 full bags of animal food, in the feeding process there was a big rooster running towards us- we were quite amazed by its move. The cottage is clean and we were allowed to cook and do our own bbq. Anyway, we really enjoyed our time here.
Spectacular Stay at Starline Alpacas! We have been many times and love how relaxed everything is. We met a Family who have returned each year for the past decade and we understand why. Self-contained cabins means that we can bring the food we like and venture into Broke and the Hunter region when we feel like it. Our cabin overlooked the water/waterview cabin and was so relaxing and well appointed. Only 2 hours from Sydney and the Broke area was more interesting and unique than the Lovedale region.
We were able to have Alpaca cuddles, see a baby Donkey, a baby miniature horse and have cuddles with all the beautiful animals. Cows, miniature horses, donkeys, pigs, goats, bunnies, chickens, ducks and Alpacas of course. Amenities include a pool, table tennis, snooker, tennis court, kids playground and you/your kids can bring your bike! Everyone working on the Farm/in the front office were so helpful! There is a gorgeous little shop where you can purchase locally made products and stunning alpaca wool items. So special.
There are wineries on the same road and you can hire e-bikes to go on a visit to some of them. Margan isn’t far away and the food was spectacular! There are also fun 3 wheeler trikes to hire.
We ventured to the local Bulga Tavern based on the Manager's recommendation for a more causal and local experience. Great pub food, amazing prices and a nice playground for the kids.
